QuestStage support
Start with the connection, then check the view and audio.
My headset does not appear.
Keep it awake and search again. For USB, use a data-capable cable and accept the debugging prompt inside the headset. For Wi-Fi, enable Wireless debugging and check that both devices are on the same local network. Guest networks may block connections between devices.
There is no Wireless debugging option.
Quest firmware and menus vary. QuestStage cannot enable or expose a missing system setting remotely. Follow the USB setup guide, then use Set up Wi-Fi in headset settings if you want to unplug.
The pairing code fails.
Keep the pairing-code panel open. Enter all six digits, including any leading zero. Copy the address and port from that same panel. If the code has expired, request a new one. On the connection step, Pair again with a new code restarts that part of setup.
Pairing worked, but the connection fails.
Close the code panel in your headset. Use the connection address from the main Wireless debugging screen. The pairing port is not a streaming connection. Search again if the address changed, or choose Enter an address manually.
The Wi-Fi network name is unavailable.
Check the Mac’s Wi-Fi menu and select that network in your Quest. QuestStage requests macOS permission on first launch because the system requires Location Services authorisation to read Wi-Fi names. You can review access under Menu → Wi-Fi name access. You can continue setup without it.
Video is black or interrupted.
Wake the headset and reconnect. Some apps and protected content restrict capture. Try Light video quality if the connection struggles. The full mirrored view is used by default; check crop settings if you previously changed them.
Audio is missing.
Select one headset using the Audio control, and check the Mac’s output volume. Capture requires compatible headset firmware (Android 13 or later) and an app that permits playback capture. Video can continue when audio is unavailable.
Wireless use stops after a restart.
USB-enabled Wi-Fi debugging can reset after a headset restart. Connect USB, allow debugging, and use Set up Wi-Fi again. With code-based wireless debugging, check the current connection address and pair again if authorisation was revoked.
How do I remove a headset?
Open its headset settings and choose Forget headset. This removes QuestStage’s saved profile. ADB’s host key and headset debugging authorisation are separate; manage those in the headset’s debugging settings.
What will QuestStage cost?
The planned UK launch price is £4.99, paid once. There is no QuestStage subscription. Prices in other regions will be set through the App Store. The app is not available to purchase yet.
Can I download QuestStage now?
There is no public download yet. The app is in development, and real-device compatibility and capture checks are still in progress. No App Store approval or release date is being claimed.
