Setup guide
Choose how to connect.
Start with Wi-Fi if your Quest offers pairing codes. Use USB if it doesn’t.
Use a Mac running macOS 14 or later. Keep your Quest awake and connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi for wireless use. First setup requires Developer Mode. Meta may ask you to register and verify a developer account.
Wi-Fi pairing
Enter the pairing code and address from your headset. No cable is needed when Wireless debugging is available.

The app contains the full guided setup. These web guides are a reference you can keep open on your phone or Mac. Menu names can vary between headset software versions.
A normal Meta casting link is different.
QuestStage uses an authorised ADB connection for local casting. It does not connect to Meta’s web casting page or ask for your Meta password. Enable Developer Mode through Meta Horizon, following Meta’s device setup instructions.
Having trouble?
Check the cable is data-capable, avoid guest networks that block connections between devices, and keep the headset awake. Find a fix in support.
